A few great Aspen transportation tips.
- A car is not needed if flying into Aspen and staying in downtown Aspen. Great public transportation, RFTA, operates buses from, the airport into town and around town allows most visitors to be car free.
- There is also an on demand free transit service Aspen Downtowner that can whisk you anywhere in the downtown core but ultimately Aspen is pretty walkable.
- Taxis are available for trips that are outside of the downtowners zone and not on the bus route.
- In spring, summer & fall a bicycle is a great option. There is a free bike share program we-cycle with kiosk around town if your hotel or condo doesn’t have a loaner bike. There are also bike rental shops all through town.
